Gold dragons, also called Queens, are the largest dragons (36-46 meters long) and the most fertile females. Queens are incapable of digesting firestone and producing flame; however, they do fight Thread - they fly in the lowest wing, with their riders armed with specially designed flamethrowers to flame any thread missed by the above wings. Golds range in color from bright yellow-gold to darker, almost bronze gold.
A Queen Egg is quite different from any other egg, as in the shell glows a golden color and the Queen will separate it from the others. Golds usually Impress to women who have great leadership abilities and are not afraid to speak their minds.
Clutches: 10 - 35
Impresses: Heterosexual Women Only
Rises: Once or Twice a Turn
Sexual Maturity: 12 Months*
Rarity: Extremely Rare
Bronze dragons are the largest males (35-43 meters long), although they are significantly smaller than the queens. Bronze Dragons will Chase any female dragon who Rises, though most stay very loyal to their mates after a few Chases.
Bronzes are noticeable because of their metallic coloring, ranging from light bronze to dark, almost brown bronze, along with the fact that they are more often than not the leaders of the Weyr. Bronzes tend to Impress to males who have strong urges to be leaders.
Chases: All Females
Impresses: Heterosexual Men Only
Sexual Maturity: 10 Months*
Rarity: Very Uncommon
Brown dragons are the next largest color (30-39 meters long). The Browns may sometimes Chase the smaller Queens, but usually go for the much smaller Green dragons. Brown dragons are very mellow dragons, but do not mind fighting Thread one bit.
Brown dragons will Impress to just about anyone male, but are very picky in picking a female rider. They lean towards the Homosexual or Bisexual females, though not very often. Browns range in color from light sandalwood brown to dark, almost black, brown.
Chases: Greens and Golds on Occasion
Impresses: All Men, occasionally Homosexual or Bisexual Women
Sexual Maturity: 10 Months*
Rarity: Uncommon
Blue dragons are the smallest males (20-30 meters long). Blues are quite agile when fighting Thread and make up most of the fighting Wings along with Greens and Browns. Blues range in color from sky blue, to dark, near black, blue.
Blue dragons will only Chase their Green, as they are not near big enough to Chase Queens. Blue dragons will Impress to about anyone but have tendencies to Impress to Homosexuals or Bisexuals.
Chases: Greens
Impresses: Mostly Homosexual and Bisexual Men or Women, occasionally Heterosexual Men or Women
Sexual Maturity: 9 Months*
Rarity: Common
Green dragons are the smallest normal color (19-28 meters long). They are female, but unlike the queens, they are infertile and can produce flame and rise up to four times a Turn. They are extremely valuable in Threadfall because of their agility, but they lack the stamina to last an entire Fall and generally fly in two or three shifts.
Green dragons range in color from light almost yellow-green to dark forest green. Greens are not very picky when it comes to their riders, but prefer Women or Homosexual/Bisexual Men over Heterosexual Men.
Impresses: All Women and Homosexual or Bisexual Men, occasionally Heterosexual Men
Rises: Between Two and Four times a Turn
Sexual Maturity: 9 Months*
Rarity: Common
White Dragons are extremely rare. These small dragons are even more rare than Golds. Even smaller than Greens (10 - 15 Meters), Whites are by far the smallest dragons. These dragons are sometimes called sport dragons, seeing as they are just big enough to seat at the most, two people of average size.
White dragons are, of course, white. Their hides actually have pale coloration from every color of dragon, but their hide somehow turns out to look white or sometimes a pale gray.
Whites are also expert betweeners. These dragons RARELY get lost. White Dragons are also very intelligent, their intelligence rivals Golds and Bronzes. Though these dragons are extremely small, and the first White was a neuter, over time it appears that the Whites have mutated to include gender as well. Male Whites are on the larger side of the small size spectrum but come nowhere close to the size of even Greens. Female Whites are EXTREMELY rare, even rarer than males.
Male Whites will often chase small Greens, but prefer to chase their female counterparts. It is safe to say that a White male would NEVER chase a Gold. Their mind-voices have a very masculine tone to them, and they can digest firestone better than females.
Female Whites rise only once a Turn. Depending on what color catches these small dragons, depends on what may appear in their very small clutches. White females can clutch, but they will not clutch every time they Rise. The size of the clutch ranges from only 1 egg to as many as 5 eggs. White females can chew firestone, but if they choose to, it will sterilize them. It would be up to the individual pair whether or not to chew.
Whites still are unable to break completely free of their shell without help. This causes them to call out to their mind mate, in a special Impression. Whites will usually Impress to anyone that displays great courage and a desire to help people.
Clutches: 1-5
Chases: Greens and Whites
Impresses: Anyone
Rises: Once a Turn
Sexual Maturity: 10 Months*
Rarity: Extremely Rare
*Months regards RP months and remember that dragons continue to grow and develop after sexually mature. All dragons complete maturity at around 18 months!
