Be courteous! No one likes to Role-Play with a Jerk. Read the History, it is Important and so are the Dragon Colors. No god-modding or anything of the sort! Please keep everything PG-13. If something gets a little heated, just fade to black and end the scene. We don't want to get shut down! We want to be open for a loooong time so we can keep RPing with all you amazing people! This does include images. If you post a provocative image, it will be taken down and you will get in trouble. Posting a pornographic image will result in deletion and a permanent ban. Have fun with it! This is a Fan-created site, but do remember that it is Pern and there are set rules, set limitations. If you do not know about Pern, read the books! Or look up as much information as you can before you create a character that is completely WRONG for/in Pern. There is a link to the Pern Wiki page in the Q & A ^.^ Admin do have the right and privilege to be picky or change the rules. Announcements will be made when/if the rules are ever changed. Applications will be read over, and can be denied. Admins will also request occasional tweaks that they think are necessary, please comply and do not argue. In conjunction with rule 8, Admins do have the right to bar applications AND people who refuse to meet our guidelines. Please read ALL of the Threads in the 'Rules' and 'About New Shura' boards. They are all important, no matter how little it may seem. They all work together to insure fun and safe role playing for all! Any Hear All (Dragons, Whers, Fire-lizards) characters will be reviewed by ALL Admins -AND- must have a very VERY good application to even be considered. Any leadership positions that are applied for and not gained through RP, must have their application approved by at least TWO Admin. There is a set RL to RP ratio. Each RL month is equivalent to TWO RP months. This means that one RP year is equal to SIX RL months! Characters age, this includes pets and dragons. Please keep up with their age and update this in their profiles every time they have a Turn day, of which you decided on upon creating them. Histories will need be updated once every three months. We intend to have a reminder week every three months to remind everyone to update their character histories, should they need it. Impressions and things of that nature should be updated WHEN they happen. [bg=768696]

You may only be of a certain age! Please, those applying with Candidate characters, ages 12-24 ONLY. Wher candidates must be 12 or older. No cap on Wher candidate ages. Candidates are encouraged not to be sexually active. This could foul up their chances of Impression. Faliure to abide by this rule will result in IN CHARACTER punishment. Candidates have a curfew of 10 pm nightly. If a Candidate chooses to break this curfew, IN CHARACTER punishment will be administered by the Candidate Master. Weyrling Rules [atrb=border,0,true] [th] [bg=334455]

Weyrlings are strictly forbidden from sexual activity. Sexual Activity can mess with a maturing Dragon, and faliure to abide by this rule will result in STRICT IN CHARACTER punishment. Weyrlings must room separate from one another, under no circumstances will they be allowed to live with another other than their bonded. Every Weyrling has a set number of chores that is expected of them, and rotates though every sevenday. Until the specific lessons have been taught and learned correctly, no flight practice or firestone consumption will take place. This is to ensure the safety of the dragon and the Weyrling bonded. Breaking this rule will result in STRICT IN CHARACTER PUNISHMENT. It is expected you care for your dragon daily, this means oiling every day until the dragon's growth has slowed and feeding. This will be enforced, as it is a top priority rule, and the Weyrling Master will check on this. Especially in the first few months after Impression. You are required to complete all 12 lessons of Weyrling training to graduate into the Flight Wings after a year of training. If you do not complete all of the lessons, you will NOT graduate. Make-up lessons will be provided at the contact of the Weyrling Master. This way is best done through OOC PM, but a reminder in the cbox is always appreciated. If a private lesson is needed/wanted a special thread can be created in this same way of contact. It provides an easier way to file things for the Weyrling Master. A list of lessons will be posted so you can keep track of what your Weyrling has or hasn't completed. Any Weyrling out after curfew will have a minor punishment placed depending on what they were doing. Curfew is scheduled for midnight at the latest, but it is highly recommended Weyrlings be within their respective weyrs at 10:30/11:00. Dragons take a lot of work, and when they're resting you are probably not! Take care of yourself! More Rules for Weyrlings will be posted by the Weyrling Master, or by Admin as they see fit! Firelizard Rules [atrb=border,0,true] [th] [bg=334455]

Anyone wishing to make a Character with a Queen fire-lizard must have the approval of TWO admins. This is to insure we are not completely over-run by the little creatures. Gold fire-lizards are very rare, so please, don't create one unless you ask the admins first. Nick must be informed somehow or just ask him outright. Depending on the other ratio of fire-lizards in the Weyr, your answer may be yes or no. Please, no more than 5 fire-lizards a character. If you want us to make an exception, you must prove you are capable of playing all of them plus your character and all admins must agree to let you add to the 'flock'. Thank you! All fire-lizards but the occasional Gold cannot form words. The fire-lizards communicate with emotion and pictures. Even when the Golds use words, its an occasional one or two words. The fire-lizards are not intelligent enough to form sentences. More Rules for Fire-lizards may be added by Admin, should something more come up. [bg=768696]

Thread Dating Rules [atrb=border,0,true] [th] [bg=334455]

Effective Jan, 1st, 2012. We will begin to Thread Date, in order to keep up with our events in an easier manner. This way we will be able to keep everything accurate in our posts, as well as easily refer back to specific dates and times to look at what happened. To date your thread, simply look to the main header, which is up top on the main page, and see which RP month it is, and what the Turn is. Use month and Turn, and if desired, you can use a specific day of the month. Thread dating also prevents cloning. This makes sure that we aren't using our characters in more than one place at the same time. If you want to have more than one thread on the same date, you may put a time along with your Date. Staff Names are Red Registered Names are Blue Guests Names are Green. Be courteous. It's the golden rule. Treat others as you would want to be treated. We want happy people! No fighting in Cbox. Take that to PMs. Arguments in the chat box will not be tolerated for any reason. If you want to argue with someone, do it through the private messaging system. Members, please let the staff handle these situations. If not a staff member is not on at the time, politely remind those having the fight about this rule and try to get a hold of one of us (staff). No talk of other sites in the C-box. This applies to active roleplay sites. Pet sites like Wajas, Chickensmoothie, Eggcave, and Dragcave for example are alright. If the site has closed its doors, you may openly discuss the site, but do not bash the sites. We don't know who has been on certain forums and who hasn't thus we want to avoid offending anyone. Keep it under PG-13. It's a site-wide rule. This includes anything sexual and excessive/graphic violence. Kissing, platonic cuddling, people being injured, and death are allowed. Breaking this rule will result in a temporary ban from the IC cbox. Events in on this board do not actually happen. Think of it as a slightly AU Shura. What happens in ICland stays in ICland. For example: Whermaster Thaelen is mortally wounded while in ICland. He ends up dying and his Gold wher Thaelensk goes on a deadly rampage. Lots of people end up injured. Outside of ICland, Thaelen is still alive and still collecting windchimes. ICland is for playing out fun scenarios. Not to be taken seriously. Do Not Ignore People. If someone is trying to play in ICland, please try and have your characters interact. It is not fun to be ignored by people. :/ Avatars. They are allowed BUT they must be of your character if you have a play-by for that character. No rainbows, chickens, or scary baby avatars. Avatars in this type of cbox are automatically scaled to 45x45 pixels. Images that are 100x100 pixels are good for this, but if you want to have an image resized, we have a few members with photoshop. [bg=768696]
