So long ago… We thought that our worries were over with the end of Thread. We never saw it coming back, but… when it did, we overcame that. We believed once our enemy had passed for the first time since the New Fall that we would have peace. And we did. When the dragons and their cousins began to change, we never saw it coming. Never could have seen it coming. We had no idea what to do. We were innocent… innocent as children. No one believed that something so small could change our world so very much. No one could see the chaos that followed. We were alone against the world, but finally… someone stepped up. The Rebellion began, but now I wonder if even that will fail us in the end. It’s all we have , though, and it’s all we can do. Someone once asked me what I would do to save the thing I loved most… and now, looking at her, I know what the answer is. Anything.
