"Don't worry. I will." Muir smiled at the Brownrider and coaxed Natalith away from the clutch. The Green mumbled something that sounded like a question, but did not bother to reiterate what she had said because one of the eggs had started to Hatch and its trial did not last long as a large Blue burst out. No one was going to miss this fellow with his bright coloring and no doubt his lungs worked just fine from the sound of it. His actions were quite entertaining to the weyrling and she would have enjoyed watching someone handle the active creature from afar.
Natalith scrambled away from the clutch when the Blue launched himself at her but came to a halt when the finicky beast suddenly swerved to cling to Muir's front. "Why would you want me, you silly creature?" The Blue continued to ask for food in his insisting way and the young woman carried him over to the food and proceeded to feed the Hatchling's voracious appetite. As his belly grew, the baby seemed to get sleepy from his full stomach and peered blearily up at her. "Your name is Onni." Onni? What a nice name! Natalith crooned to the fire-lizard, her eyes a happy blue-green now that the Blue was no longer coming after her.
So small...

Sulja had a thing against firelizards, but she was getting over it because they really were cute little creatures when one thought about it. So when she heard that Coco's eggs were hatching she decided to go look in on them.
"One egg left, Coco? Poor thing. I hope it hatches. I don't like it when babies that are supposed to survive don't. Of course I think that every baby deserves a chance. Did you know that I was a runner before I was Searched?" She stopped speaking suddenly realizing that she was talking to a firelizard.
"My father would disown me if he knew I was actually talking to one of your kind." Sulja said with a grin knowing full well it wasn't entirely true. The ex-runner had agreed that the miniature dragons did have a place on Pern after his daughter went to the Weyr. There were just some places that a human couldn't get to easily and a firelizard could.
She looked around the room to make sure that everyone had enough meat for their new friends, "I can go get more meat for anyone if they need it." She offered.

The last egg had been still for just a few moments, seemingly waiting. As all its other siblings Impressed, the egg would vibrate gently.
Now though, the shell began to crack. The entire egg moved in earnest as if the little fire-lizard inside had gotten sick of waiting. A forepaw pushed through the egg. The color was a dark forest green. Another green!
The green finally broke completely free, small shards of egg scattering around. Her hide was a mottled green. The forest green was the less of the two. Her predominant hide color was a paler, more leaf green. Some spots were even paler, more shiny green.
She gave a trumpet. Presenting herself to all those around her. She was finally here! The little beast exuded feelings of love and compassion very strongly. Even her mother gave a croon from its effect.
Looking around, the little green began walking along the sands. Shaking her head as she passed those who had already Impressed, or were watching, hoping she would pick them. She didn't want them. Some woman had been blabbering since she got here just a few moments before. And said rider, Sulja, was suddenly set upon by this little green.
The green stuck herself on top of Sulja's head and creened for food, but refused to come from her perch. Sulja would feed her from up here!

Sulja gasped in surprise when the green streak went for her head. "Come down from there you shellhead." She said lovingly to the hatchling as she tried to dislodge the large-ish firelizard. The green just kept kreeling her hunger and gently nipped the hand of her human.
"Oh very well then." Carefully the greenrider picked up a bowl of meat and proceeded to feed the gorgeous firelizard. Fia, I'm afraid I found us a pet.
Is it yellow?
Sulja chuckled, No dear, she's... Well, here.. and the human sent an image to her dragon.
The green snorted on the ledge she was sunning herself on, Not a very clear image of her. Where is she? Picture her better!
She is sitting on my head right now. Once she's asleep and I can get her off of me I'll bring her to you. Alright?
The dragon gave a sleepy reply as Sulja kept feeding the firelizard. "I think I'll name you Cai."

A'lar watched at the Impressions took place one at a time. When the third egg was to hatch the little lizard that came from it seemed very skittish, poor little thing. The big Brownrider watched it skid up to them, terrified but sure of itself. A'lar was glad it had found its one and only, the little white rider who had Impressed in the recently passed Hatching. It seemed their little family was growing up to be a multitude of tiny guys! The thought made A'lar crack a smile.
Looking at Asta and her mother, his attention was there as the little girl looked at her new lizard, who honestly did appear with the attitude of any Gold A'lar ever saw. Going to be a fiesty one, that Green. When the next two eggs were to hatch, A'lar's eyes were back on the clutch. The next broke open another Green, the little thing scampering out of its shell and around the others. It seemed very fidgety of its bigger cousin dragons, skidding around them.
A'lar was a might surprised when it leaped into his bowl, blinking before a laugh escaped the man. "Why hello there," he commented, although the little thing was busy eating by now. It seemed he was stuck with the little girl. And that was fine by A'lar, the Green sure was excitable, might cause something to actually happen in his and Tigath's weyr for once besides banter! "Such a happy thing, I think the name Lotti suits you well."
