This is a WIP. Please be patient while I finish it ><
There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Gold whers are, by default, the largest color of the nocturnal creatures. Queens range from 10 to 12 feet at the shoulder with the occasional female being a little smaller or larger. They range in color from bright yellow-gold to darker, almost bronze gold. Golds are the only wher females capable of consistently clutching fertile eggs. Their preferred mates are Bronzes due to the obvious size difference between them and the other males.
A Queen egg is almost completely identical to non-Queen eggs except maybe in size which is the only indicator. The clutch-mother cannot be relied on to make known when there is a Queen egg in the clutch as each Gold is different when it comes to egg-favoring. One Queen was known for always favoring eggs containing Blues.
