WELCOME TO NEW SHURA IC Date April, 2596
Welcome to New Shura Weyr, A site loosely based on the amazing Dragon Riders of Pern series written by the late and amazing Anne McCaffrey. Being a fan-based site, we have take some liberties with certain things. We do however still follow the basic rules that Anne set up in her novels. Please feel free to join and have fun RPing!
Set almost 600 turns after the original Shura, Pern has gone through quite some changes. A devastating meteor impact destroys most of the Northern Continent, After a series of Weyr moves, disappearances, and a virus, only Shura remains as the last protector against thread.
However, Shura would be tested once again. Another meteor impact strikes the south this time, crushing Shura and a majority of local Holds. Now, Shura has reestablished themselves in a valley between two mountains and begins to rebuild for Thread falls in just four Turns.
If that wasn't enough, a rider was just murdered in cold blood. For seemingly no reason at all. As her dragon launches into the sky never to be seen again, it leaves everyone wondering why she was murdered. And why now? Will others die? What will happen now, with everything else Pern has to worry about, do they now have to worry about cold blooded killers?

'Ello, 'Ello. I am the brain behind the making of New Shura Weyr. I generally do random things that need to be done here and there, answer questions, and vomit out random ideas to make the site better. If you need anything, feel free to send me a PM or catch me in the Cbox!
Oh hai there! I'm in charge of creating all the pretty graphics for site like the skins and making sure everything looks neat and organized. I also do all the other co-admin stuff and generally harass the cbox. Feel free to bug me if you ever have a question about the site or a suggestion for the art stuff.

Aloha~ My job is to manage the Weyrs night life (Not that kind of night life, you goobers) and do general co-admin stuff like accepting characters, give people oddball nicknames, update lists, tweak things and do the occasional artsy fartsy stuff that Tahki doesnt mind sharing. I am perfecting the art of cbox lurking and I love answering questions so feel free to message me. I have no problem using AIM or MSN.
About New Shura While we have a Rule board with important stuff like... rules... and stuff, we also have a board for the things vital to the knowledge of about the Weyr. Such as dragon colors and stuff. Moderators: Batman, Tahki, Zephyr, Momo
